Berwick Campus

The Berwick Campus caters for all Year 7, 8 and 9 students of St. Francis Xavier College are located at 75 Ridgemont Drive, next to St. Catherine's primary school.

The first stage of the Berwick campus completed in 2003 included purpose-built general purpose classrooms with direct access to technology pods, science laboratories, food technology and materials technology centres, music, drama and art rooms supported by an administration building and small Resource Centre (Library).

The completion of Stage 2 in 2004 included additional general purpose classrooms equipped with technology pods, a multi-purpose hall and expanded Resource Centre (Library, Student Services, Seminar Rooms and Staff Offices). Stage 3 was opened in 2005 and includes additional classrooms, computer pods, technology rooms and expanded canteen.

The Berwick campus is electronically linked to the Beaconsfield campus, through the telephone system and computers, to ensure swift communications.

Our Year 7, 8 and 9 students are educated at the Berwick campus and, as they are part of the St. Francis Xavier community, may travel to the Beaconsfield campus from time to time. We believe it is most important for their identity to be closely linked with the Beaconsfield students. Similarly, there are occasions when some of the Beaconsfield students will visit the Berwick campus.

Junior Schooling

St. Francis Xavier College aims to provide all students from Years 7-9 with the opportunity to experience positive transitions throughout their schooling.

We aim to develop an ethos of challenge, excellence and enjoyment in teaching and learning, by responding creatively to the academic and pastoral needs of the Year 7 -9 students.

We aim to provide opportunities and organizational structures that enhance and support the college community.

At St. Francis Xavier College we recognize and value clear lines of communication among school, parent and student.
